El Port de la Selva is a typical seaside town. The first thing to be seen on arriving at the town are its white houses which contrast with the blue of the sky. The other feature is the mountainous landscape. |

The town has the most important fishing port along the northern coast. But you can also enjoy the charming beaches and coves nearby. |
|

We could say that the most characteristic place of El Port de la Selva is the Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, which was occupied from the 9th Century up to the 18th Century. The parish church dates from the 18th Century and still conserves the gothic statue of San Pedro (St Peter), sculpted in polychromatic stone. This statue comes from the old monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. |

For those who love excursions and nature, there are also hidden spots to discover such as, for example, the geological itinerary of the ring road or the botanical gardens of El Port de la Selva and La Selva de Mar. |

Another place to visit is the lighthouse of s’Arnella which lies between the boundaries of Llança and El Port de la Selva and from where you can see the whole bay. |
