The village grew up around the monastery of Vilabertran, an important Augustinian Canon (later a collegiate church), whose abbots had jurisdiction over the area. |
|
|

|
Ramparts were built on the village walls. The monastery church, a notable example of Romanesque art, later became the parish church. |

|
The collection of Avui Art shows works of different techniques and forms of expression: painting and sculpture, photography and design, engraving, ceramics, drawings and illustrations: the collection is the most solid and representative of this style in Catalonia. |

You will find there works of Tąpies, Tharrats Dalķ and Miró. |
